Here is the news from Biddulph Bowling & Recreational Club....

6 members of the Biddulph Bowling & Recreational Club completed the course to become Level 1 coaches and are now willing and able to provide coaching to beginners of all ages and Bill Jolley has been appointed as the Head Coach.

Coaching can be either at the Club’s own premises or other venues and can be a one to one basis for adults and the coaches are also available to provide classes for youngsters.

The Club currently host weekly sessions to pupils from the local Woodhouse Academy and several pupils have now joined the Club and formed a Junior Team playing in the local Junior League. Taster sessions have also been enjoyed by two local Brownie packs.

The Club’s Crown Green is an all-weather green, so it is open throughout the year and Round Robin events are now taking place on Mondays and Fridays and are open to all, not just members.

Membership is available for Annual (£60), Summer (£47) or Winter (40), with an Indoor Membership (15), which excludes any outdoor bowling.

The Club also have an Indoor Short Mat for Bowling and now have 2 teams in the local League. Table Tennis is another sport offered by the club on their own table and pupils from the local Woodhouse Academy attend weekly session, coached by a Table Tennis England qualified Coach.

The Club pavilion is available for Hire for functions and is already being used by the WI, Probus, local community meetings and activity groups, either during the daytime or evenings and has been used for many local celebrations.
